Letterkenny Festival – Celebrating all things local!

Excited for the Letterkenny Festival 2023? So are we!

There are so many things to see and do throughout the weekend of the Letterkenny Festival this year, and we are at the centre of it all (literally!) Being based in Letterkenny town centre we are at the heart of all this weekend’s activities, from Live Music to Parades, this weekend is suitable for all ages, a perfect trip idea for the family to go on before summer is over.

Friday 18th

Launching Friday the 18th entertainment is kicking off on a high at McGettigan’s Hotel, from 7:30pm there will be live music by ‘My Generation’ and ‘Bagatelle & Friends’, only a few minutes’ walk from us, call in for a delicious dinner before the entertainment begins, or why not pass in for a drink afterwards and start your weekend the right way!

We have our Live entertainment kicking of from 9:30pm until late with Aidan Breslin getting the evening going in our bar to get the weekend started!

Saturday 19th

The Letterkenny Pride Parade will be making its way through the streets of Letterkenny on Saturday, making history as the town’s first ever Pride parade, with all the fun beginning at 2:30pm, where you can locate at An Grianán Theatre. Some of the entertainment includes a Fashion show, face painting, arts & crafts and much more. The parade will then start at 4:30 from the An Grianán Theatre to Lower Main Street and finish at 6pm with more entertainment hosted in The Brewery Bar.

Here at Dillons Hotel we will also have our amazing live entertainment on from 9:30pm until late, with Ramble Tamble hosting the night! A perfect night to enjoy a few drinks and wrap up the evening here in the centre of Letterkenny town.

Sunday 20th

Wrapping up the fun-filled weekend with a thrilling Soap Box derby supported by RNLI on Port road beginning at 2pm sharp, make sure to get a good view and witness the great craic the derby brings to the hustle and bustle of Letterkenny, before you go why not pop in and visit us for a quick bite to eat, and experience our delicious locally sourced dishes?

An Grianán theatre will also be hosting entertainment suitable for all ages on the final day of the Letterkenny festival, with Photobooths, face painting games and much more available to enjoy.

End your day on a high by joining those at the Gig-rig at Sister Sara’s from 5pm to be part of ‘Country Sunday’ with a line-up not to be missed!

Our car park is also accessible to the public to use, with 2 EV Chargers available to use for electric vehicles.
