One is at the base of the wonderful Knockalla Drive, the beach is referred to locally as Portsalon beach but has been called Ballymastocker in the list.

The other, Tra Mor is near Dunfanaghy and is only accessible by a 20-25 minute walk through the beautiful dunes, and it looks out at Tory Island and is almost always deserted, making it a perfect safe haven.

And, The Blue Flags were awarded to the beaches and marinas in Ireland recently, with Donegal getting 14 Blue Flags! 12 Beaches and 2 Marinas! This counts for a very impressive 15% of the total Blue Flags awarded in the whole country! What a great achievement
